Abstract

The coupled lower dimensional structures, such as coupled quantum-wires and quantum-dots, are expected as novel optical and electrical materials [1-2], with high optical nonlinearity and electron wave interference. Recently, we have reported the fabrication of coupled quantum-wires using flow rate modulation epitaxy (FME) and reported the preliminary characteristics [3]. In this paper, we have clearly observed the coupled states of the coupled quantum-wires and its one dimensional (ID) nature from the polarisation dependent photoluminescence (PL).
