Abstract
Using a semiclassical extension of the theory of Mollow [1], we predict second order interference fringes in the far wings of the two photon absorption spectrum. Typically second order interference between two fields is detected by using two ordinary detectors to measure the second order coherence function <E,* (T)E2*(0)E2(0)E|(T)>. For classical fields any phase differences between them is destroyed by the detectors, so as the phase difference is varied by changing T, fringes will not be observed. If fringes are observed this is often taken as a signature of nonclassical fields [2].
