Abstract

The study of the strong coupling between excitons and the radiation modes of semiconductor microcavities, whose eigenmodes are cavity polaritons, has been a very active field of investigation over the past few years. Rabi splitting has been observed [1-3] and time domain measurements of the Rabi oscillations have been reported [3,4], Recently, electric field tuning of the Rabi splitting has also been demonstrated [5].
