Abstract

The attractive properties of InSb have been known for several decades but the obstacle to exploitation has been the need to cool devices to cryogenic temperatures. New multilayer heterostructures of InSb with In1-x AlxSb, devised and fabricated in DRA, have now made uncooled operation possible for the first time. This is enabling the demonstration of some much improved devices and some quite new ones.
