Abstract

Mechanical properties on a surface of solid material crucially depend on the molecular composition and distribution. Suitable surfactants can change friction, adhesion, elasticity and viscosity between two solid surfaces [1]. Important applications can be realized when these surface properties are controllable. To achieve this goal, a sufficient understanding in the microscopic mechanism of the mechanical interaction between two solid objects is required.
