Abstract

Because of the excellent optic-electric and nonlinear optic effects of LiNbC3, the exploration of new band laser crystals by doping rare earth ions into Mg:LiNbO3, has been paid much attention,1,2 and 1.093 μ.m and its second harmonic 0.346 μm outputs were obtained by T. Y. Tan et al. We found that different treatments have evident influence on the fluorescence of Nd:Mg:LiNbO3 and Er:Mg:LiNbO3. In this paper, we report the phenomenon and discuss the result.
