Abstract
The photo absorption cross section for 16O2 and 18O2 in the ground state has been measured in the region 1120 - 1170 Å at 297 and 79 K. The vacuum-ultraviolet radiation, with bandwidth ~0.l cm-1 (0.0014 Å), was generated from tunable excimer- pumped dye-laser radiation by third-harmonie generation in Kr and Xe. This simple and robust generation scheme has been described previously.1
