Novel femtosecond pulse stretcher/ compressor systems with cubic phase and wavelength tunability, and decreased alignment sensitivity

Abstract

Traditional grating CPA stretcher/compres- sor systems have relied on high groove densities (~2000 1/mm) for systems operating in the 800 nm wavelength regime. While this type of setup works well for pulse durations on the order of 100-fs, operation becomes prohibitive for shorter pulsewidths due to the alignment sensitivity.
