Abstract
It has been shown1,2 that the accumulation effect (i.e., the atomic-memory effect) can arise in stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) when time interval T between pulses is of the order of dephasing decay time T2. The accumulation effect means that the energy of the Stokes pulse is determined not only by the energy of its own pump pulse but also by that of the previous pump pulses of the train.
