Abstract

It is well known that sublevel coherence can be created by a laser pulse in a resonant Raman type process. In this context, previous studies have demonstrated the occurrence of sublevel or spin echoes in inhomogeneously broadened atomic ground states by applying a sequence of two optically resonant light pulses.1
