Abstract

The luminescence signal. The time delay between the two peaks was introduced artificially for the sake of clarity. It can be seen that the luminescence lifetime is 50 ps in the fresh sample, whereas in the modified sample, the luminescence signal follows exactly the laser pulse shape. From the 10 ps falltime of the laser pulse, it can be deduced that the recombination time in the modified sample must be less than 10 ps.
