Abstract
An understanding of nonlinear four wave mixing processes in semiconductor diode lasers is important for the application of active devices in optical switching as well as for the determination of channel cross-talk in amplifiers. Previous investigators have examined four wave mixing in single stripe diode lasers and travelling wave amplifiers using external frequency injection techniques1-4.
