Instability and Chaos in Lasers with Delayed Feedback

Abstract

The instabilities and chaos in laser systems are not only important problems in their applications, but also physically interesting subjects in quantum optics. We already reported observations of chaotic oscillations of semiconductor lasers with delayed feedback [1], [2]. Here we describe a theoretical study corresponding to the above observations.
