Abstract
There has been much interest in the dynamic properties of excited states in polydiacetylenes (PDAs), The dephasing time T2 in PDAs has been studied by several groups, but they could not resolve T2, and they reported T2 ≪ 180 ps,1 ≪ 6 ps,2 and ≪ 500 fs.3 We could, for the first time, we believe, resolve the dephasing time in a PDA to be 30 fs at 648 nm and 130 fs at 582 nm.
