Abstract
We discuss recent developments and spectroscopy of novel compound semiconductor superlattices containing magnetic elements based on the ZnSe/(Zn,Mn)Se and CdTe/(Cd,Mn)Te heterostructures. These show unusual magnetically tunable excitonic optical properties which have been investigated by luminescence spectroscopy, picosecond time-resolved techniques, and excitation in the nonlinear regime.
