Abstract
A general discussion of some of the general applications of lasers in biology is given. Both the high intensity of lasers and their short pulse width are found useful in studying the structure as well as structural changes in biological systems. Time-resolved techniques with lasers are developed to understand the mechanism of some photobiological transformations.
