Abstract

Principles of ultrafast spectroscopy using broad-bandwidth incoherent light to measure T1- and T2-type relaxation times will be reviewed, and some recent applications to strongly coupled electron-phonon systems, R2 centers in KGI crystal, etc., with femtosecond time resolutions will be reported.
