Enhanced Kerr nonlinear performance in graphene oxide coated silicon and SiN waveguides

Abstract

Graphene oxide films are integrated with silicon and SiN waveguides to demonstrate enhanced Kerr nonlinearity. Self-phase modulation with a broadening factor of 4.34 and FWM with ~9.1dB conversion efficiency improvement are achieved.
