Counter-Propagating Solitons in MgF2 Microresonators using an Auxiliary Laser

Abstract

We demonstrate counter-proagating Kerr cavity solitons in a magnesium fluoride microresonator. Thermal effects are compensated using an auxiliary laser in a distinct spatial mode that is spectrally close to the pump.
