All-in-one fiber laser based on liquid crystal transducer

Abstract

We demonstrate a novel all-fiber laser system with an integrated liquid crystal transducer cell that can electronically be switched between continuous-wave, mode-locked (achieved by both, amplitude and phase modulation) or q-switched operation.
