On-chip FP-cavity-assisted microring resonator with enhanced quality factor

Abstract

We propose and experimentally demonstrate quality (Q) factor enhancement in an integrated FP-cavity-assisted microring resonator (MRR). Experimental results show that up to 11-times improvement in Q factor can be achieved via our proposed method.
