Chalcogenide waveguide for sensing applications in the mid-infrared

Abstract

Selenide ridge waveguide based on evanescent field detection was designed, fabricated and optically characterized in mid-infrared (7.7 μm). Results represent the first development step of an integrated optical sensor for pollutant detection in water.
