Abstract

We proposed and demonstrated a membrane reflector surface-emitting laser on silicon, based on multi-layer semiconductor nanomembrane stacking via stamp transfer printing processes, and photonic crystal Fano resonance membrane reflectors. The potentials and prospects of nanomembrane materials and transfer printing processes will also be discussed, for applications in silicon photonics, flexible electronics and optoelectronics.
