Abstract

An accurate boundary integral equation method is developed to calculate the Neumann-to-Dirichlet (NtD) map for unit cells of two-dimensional photonic crystals, where the cylinders in the unit cells have arbitrary shapes and corners. The NtD map can be used to solve various mathematical problems associated with the photonic crystal.
