Polymer-Silica Hybrid 1×2 Thermooptic Switch with Low Crosstalk

Abstract

A new polymer-silica hybrid thermooptic switch with a significantly low crosstalk is demonstrated. The refractive indexes of polymer and silica vary in the opposite direction with temperature. Using this characteristics, we reduce the crosstalk.
