Nano Modes of Metal Wedge Guided Plasmon Polaritons

Abstract

Optical plasmon-polariton modes confined in both transverse dimensions to significantly less than wavelength are exhibited in open waveguides structured as sharp metal wedges. Novel analysis presents wedge modes distinct in field distribution and dispersion.
