Abstract

Efficient interfacing (>60% efficiency) between micro-scale waveguides and nanoscale plasmon waveguides is achieved by an ultrashort (6 microns) tapered gap plasmon waveguide. The Interplay of related plasmonic and oscillating modes is analyzed.
