Phase matching of GaAs electrooptic modulators by using a highly dispersive tantalium pentoxide overlayer

Abstract

Resulting from rigorous numerical simulations, a perfect phase matching between the microwave and the optical wave is possible by using tantalium pentaoxide overlayer to enhance the optical bandwidth in a GaAs modulator.
