Enhancement of Third Order Nonlinearity Calculated for 2-D Photonic Crystal

Abstract

The FDTD calculation of light transmission through a 2-D photonic crystal with the third order nonlinearity shows that the photonic band at the second T point allows large enhancement of the nonlinearity with low loss.
