GalnAsP Microdisk Injection Laser with Benzocyclobutene Polymer Cladding and Its Athermal Effect

Abstract

We demonstrate a GalnAsP-microdisk injection laser with the benzocyclobutene (BCB) polymer cladding. Low threshold lasing, the reduction in thermal resistance, and the potential of athermal operation are discussed.
