Rigorous analysis of extremely asymmetrical scattering of electromagnetic waves in periodic gratings

Abstract

Rigorous numerical analysis, based on finite difference solution of rigorous coupled wave equations, is developed for investigation of extremely asymmetrical scattering of bulk electromagnetic waves in periodic gratings. Accurate numerical testing of the developed approximate approach and its applicability conditions is carried out.
