All-optical regeneration and wavelength conversion based on an MMI-SOA

Abstract

We propose a novel component for 2R regeneration and wavelength conversion based on the non-linear properties of an MMI-SOA. BPM-simulations show a digital response for regeneration and good wavelength conversion characteristics.
