The nonlinear optical response of transparent metal-dielectric multilayer structures

Abstract

We report on the nonlinear optical properties of metal-dielectric multilayer structures with peak transmittance of 75 %, spectral bandwidths up to 360 nm, and up to 20× larger nonlinear optical response than their component materials.
