A 2D Square Rods-in-Air Photonic Crystal Optical Switch

Abstract

A 2D square rods-in-air photonic crystal optical switch is proposed. Simulations show that up to 82.76% of incident transverse magnetic Gaussian point source energy can be switched into a channel vertical to source channel.
