Monolithic WDM Filter in Silicon-on-Insulator for Diplexer / Triplexer Application

Abstract

We have designed and fabricated a 1.49µm/1.55µm WDM filter in Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) platform. The filter is realized by Fourier-transform-based MZIs. The fabricated filter has less than 0.2dB ripple over 20nm flat pass-band and less than 0.3dB excess loss.
