SOI based Optical Waveguide Devices with 44Gbit/s High Speed

Abstract

Research results for SOI optical modulator/switch, optical couplers in our group will be presented in the paper. Modulation speed of silicon MZI and MRR modulators with interleaved reverse PN junctions both achieve 44 Gbit/s, respectively. SOI optical couplers with 6 different structures have been developed, coupling efficiency of 65% has been obtained.
