Wide slot photonic crystal waveguides: dispersion engineering by modifying the slot shape itself

Abstract

Slow light measurements in a SOI comb-slot photonic crystal waveguide are reported. The originality of the work stems from the corrugation of the slot itself, giving additional degrees of freedom for the design and the choice of wide slots to be filled easily.
