Enhanced Light Output Power by Laser Stealth Dicing in GaN-based Blue LED on Sapphire Substrate

Abstract

The effects of laser stealth dicing (LSD) on GaN-based blue light-emitting diodes were compared with those of laser ablation dicing (LAD). The results showed that LSD improved light output power by 11% and 6% before and after packaging, respectively.
