Intensity Interrogated Planar Waveguide Biosensors

Abstract

Planar waveguide biosensors based on cascaded resonators are presented. Vernier effect is used to increase the sensitivity. Simple intensity interrogation schemes are developed to advance the planar waveguide sensor technology towards low-cost practical applications.
