A Light Guide Design Method for Lighting Applications

Abstract

Lighting applications require efficient edge-lit LED panels with user-defined surface illuminance distributions. A light guide design method is studied to achieve user-defined uniform or nonuniform surface illuminance distributions with a high optical efficiency (~88%).
