Optical Design Study in the 1-5μm Spectral Band with Gradient-Index Materials

Abstract

A design study is conducted for an F/3, 15 degree full field of view, 38mm focal length broadband 1-5μm imager. Homogeneous triplet designs are compared with a gradient-index doublet design that yields comparable performance.
