Design of a 405nm variable depth laser read-write head to be used with fluorescent disks for data storage

Abstract

An optical system for use with multi-layer polymer disks which maintains a spot size below 400nm at 405nm and 532nm light throughout the thickness of the disk has been designed using molded plastic singlets.
