Human Eye Modeling Using a Single Equation of Gradient Index Crystalline Lens for Relaxed and Accommodated States

Abstract

A human eye model is proposed that includes a single continuous equation to describe the GRIN profile in the crystalline lens. The role of lens GRIN in providing optical power and maintaining retinal image quality during accommodation is studied and simulated.
