Sub-Wavelength Grating Induced Spherical Wavefront Aberrations: A Case Study

Abstract

An example of the spherical wavefront aberrations of a one-dimensional sub-wavelength grating anti-reflection coating is presented. The polarization aberration pattern is dominated by astigmatism, and the magnitude is not extreme.
