Multimode ultrafast information coding: State generation, transmission and loss evaluation

Abstract

We introduce multiplexed information coding in quantum channels, using waveguided PDC sources emitting the required quantum states. We analyze the obtained channel capacities, present a significant gain over single-mode coding, and enhanced loss resilience.
