Abstract

Integration of atomic quantum memories and cavity QED entanglement generation provides a versatile system for quantum information processing. Our configuration employs dipole force laser lattice traps that permit storage of many individually addressable atoms and manipulation of these atoms in arbitrary combinations using the quantum field of the optical cavity.
