Strong Field Laser induced surface structuring in Mid-IR wavelengths

Abstract

Strong field mid-IR laser (λ = 2 − 4.2 µm, Δτ = 100-200 fs) surface interactions were studied in Si, Ge, ZnSe, InSb. Periodic surface structures and features with sizes down to < λ/40 were observed.
