Anomalous Nonlinear X-ray Compton Scattering

Abstract

We report the observation of a substantial anomalous red shift in the energy of photons generated by nonlinear two-photon X-ray Compton scattering of 9 keV X-rays in beryllium at intensities of 4×1020 Watt/cm2.
