Abstract

Third- and fifth-harmonic generation by 80-fs pulses of 3.9-µm radiation enables efficient multiplex frequency conversion of ultrashort mid-IR pulses, metrology of high-order nonlinear-optical susceptibilities, and remote sensing of the atmosphere.
