1 Hz PetaWatt Class Laser for Laser Driven Wakefield Acceleration

Abstract

We present a two stages Ti:Sapphire amplifier system running at 1Hz reaching up to 65J supporting sub-30fs pulses. Extreme care have been taken on the beam profile quality as well as preventing transverse lasing.
